Teen President's Message

Greetings and Welcome to the Teen Auxiliary of the Montgomery County Maryland Chapter of Jack and Jill of America Inc. 

On behalf of the tenacious Teens of JJMCMC It is with great honor and enthusiasm that I welcome you to the Teen Auxiliary webpage. 

My name is Messiah Phelps, a senior at Sherwood High School, and I am truly honored to serve as the 2026–2027 Teen President. I look forward to leading alongside an amazing Teen Executive Board as we create a year filled with leadership, service, fellowship, and unforgettable experiences.  

This year, I hope to strengthen our teen group’s bond while encouraging every teen to step outside their comfort zone, grow as a leader, and actively participate in all that the senior teen group has to offer. Jack and Jill has shaped who I am today, and I want every teen to feel supported, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.  

This year is filled with exciting opportunities to learn, serve, travel, and build lasting memories together. From cultural experiences and leadership development activities to college tours, community service projects, financial literacy initiatives, and regional events, there will be something for everyone to enjoy and grow from. I especially look forward to seeing our chapter continue to represent excellence at the 77th Eastern Regional Teen Conference in Philadelphia, PA. 

As Teen President, one of my goals is to ensure that every teen feels included and encouraged to use their voice, talents, and ideas to help shape our program year. I believe some of the best moments happen when we work together, support one another, and create experiences that inspire both personal growth and lifelong friendships.  

I encourage all teens to stay engaged and take advantage of every opportunity this organization provides. Together, we can continue building a strong legacy of leadership, achievement, and service. I am incredibly excited for the year ahead and grateful for the opportunity to serve each of you.
