Greetings and welcome to the Montgomery County Maryland Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc.!
On behalf of the extraordinary mothers of the Montgomery County Maryland Chapter, I am delighted to welcome you to our website. We are proud to share a glimpse into the meaningful experiences, impactful programs, and lifelong connections that define our chapter and enrich the lives of our children and families.
Jack and Jill of America, Inc. was founded in 1938 by the visionary Marion Stubbs Thomas to provide educational, cultural, civic, recreational, and social opportunities that prepare African American children to become future leaders. Today, the organization includes more than 271 chapters nationwide, representing thousands of families committed to nurturing the next generation of leaders and changemakers.
For nearly 65 years, the Montgomery County Maryland Chapter has faithfully carried forward this mission, creating opportunities that empower our children to lead with confidence, serve with purpose, and embrace their rich cultural heritage. Through innovative programming and meaningful community engagement, we strive to build experiences that foster leadership development, academic excellence, civic responsibility, health and wellness, cultural awareness, and strong family connections.
Our chapter is fortunate to be served by dynamic mothers whose talents, expertise, and dedication strengthen every aspect of our organization. Together, we are educators, advocates, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and professionals who share a common commitment to investing in our children and making a positive impact throughout Montgomery County and beyond. From supporting local organizations and philanthropic initiatives to delivering transformative programming, our mothers exemplify the spirit of service that has long defined our chapter.
It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as the 33rd President of the Montgomery County Maryland Chapter. I am deeply humbled by the opportunity to lead alongside such talented and dedicated women as we continue building upon the remarkable legacy established by those who came before us.
As we look toward celebrating our upcoming 65th Anniversary, I am excited to embrace our biennial theme: “Honoring Legacy, Inspiring Engagement, Growing Together.” This theme reflects our commitment to celebrating the trailblazers who built our foundation, fostering meaningful engagement among our families, and creating new opportunities for growth, innovation, and impact.
My vision is simple: I want every mother, child, and family to fully experience the joy, connection, and lifelong friendships that make Jack and Jill so special. Together, we will continue to strengthen our chapter, expand our community impact, and ensure that every member feels valued, supported, and empowered to shine brightly.
