President’s Corner
Greetings and welcome to the Montgomery County Maryland Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc.
On behalf of the remarkable Mothers of the Montgomery County Maryland Chapter, I am delighted to welcome you to our website. We invite you to learn about transformative experiences curated by our dedicated Mothers which promote leadership development, cultural awareness, philanthropic giving, legislative, advocacy, and community service for future African American leaders. Established in 1938, Jack and Jill of America, Inc. boasts 262 chapters, representing more than 50,000 family members making a difference in communities nationwide.
Founded by the late Marion Stubbs Thomas in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to provide social, cultural and educational opportunities for youth between the ages of 2-19. Her legacy and spirit live on in 262 chapters nationwide.
Our children are the focus of everything we do. For over 60 years, the Montgomery County, MD Chapter has worked to advocate, nurture and provide enriching programs centered around leadership development, awareness of cultural heritage and community service. Our ongoing support of A Wider Circle, March of Dimes, The National Center for Children and Families, Extra-Ordinary Birthday and Jack and Jill Foundation is a testament to our community commitment and impact.
I am honored to serve as the 32nd President of the Montgomery County, MD Chapter of Jack and Jill of America. We remain committed to working together with the goal of providing leadership training and creating opportunities for the children in our community. My desire is to enhance our ability to foster positive outcomes for all children. I look forward to serving as we move forward together.
For the children,
Holli Townsend
